Correction: In the Carson Hardware example I have a minus where there should be a plus. It should have
S=R(((1+r/m)^(mt)-1)/(r/m)) and
30000=R(((1+.1/4)^(2*4)-1)/(.1/4)).
However, since I had it written correctly in my notes the final answer is the correct answer.
